What is covered?
You are entitled to reimbursement of the costs for urgent dental treatment in the Netherlands.
Urgent care is taken to mean: unforeseen care that cannot reasonably be postponed. It concerns care that is intended to alleviate acute pain and ensure sufficient chewing capacity. A dental overhaul is not urgent care.
For every usual treatment a description of the care is available. The Dutch Care Authority provides this. Only treatments with a description of care as referred to in HollandZorg's Operations list for urgent dental care qualify for reimbursement.
What should you keep in mind?
A dentist can provide all types of care. A dental prosthetics maker may only perform technical procedures.
The contracted care providers can be found at the carefinder. You can also contact our Customer Service on +31 (0)570 687 123.
