Audiological care
Audiological care consists of:
- testing the hearing function;
- advice on the hearing aid to be purchased;
- information on the use of the aid;
- the psychosocial care required as a result of problems with the impaired hearing function;
- assistance in establishing a diagnosis in the event of speech and language disorders in children.
Reimbursements
Referral required for audiological care
For audiological care, you will require a referral from a general practitioner, a medical specialist, a youth doctor, a doctor for the mentally disabled, a clinical technologist, a specialist in geriatric medicine or triage hearing specialist. The referral will remain valid for a period of twelve months, commencing on the day the referral was issued.
Reimbursement for audiological care
Under the HollandZorg public healthcare insurance, you qualify for the reimbursement of the cost of audiological care.

Statutory personal contribution
You will not be subject to a statutory personal contribution for audiological care.
Compulsory excess
Are you 18 or older? The costs incurred for audiological care will count towards your compulsory policy excess.

Do I have to pay extra for non-contracted care?
Do you wish to use the care from a care provider with whom we have not concluded a contract? In that case, the reimbursement may be less than the amount charged by your care provider. The rates list can be viewed and downloaded at www.hollandzorg.com/rates, under specialist medical care

Maximum rates for a non-contracted care provider
Have you chosen a healthcare provider with whom we have no contract? Then, we will reimburse according to our maximum rates for 2025. If the rate invoiced by the non-contracted care provider is higher than our maximum rates, you will have to pay the difference yourself. You will be able to find contracted care providers with our Care finder.
